We'd got into that way of buying water too until recently I bought a cheap filter jug system for the fridge. Our water is not too tasty straight from the tap but filtered and chilled it's great and free! We still might buy the odd cold drink while out but rinse and save the bottles for re-use.

We're lucky we have wonderful water from our (very deep - over 200') well. I refill glass bottles with ceramic tops (like Grolsch beer's) nightly to put in the refrigerator. I have a metal Sigg bottle that goes in the car with me. We also refill the flimsy plastic bottles that end up here for easy grab-and-go for my husband to take on motorcycle rides (he brings them back and reuses them quite a few times).

We refill water bottles (both flimsy and good ones depending on how many we need) from our filtered tap water. I am a big water drinker and always have a glass of water on the table that I am drinking from..all my kids are water drinkers too..husband, not so much.

I drink tap water as it is really good and our town sends out seasonal reports about its quality. I have a Sigg water bottle that I love, but I can say that it's still hard to drink 64oz a day while taking care of a 3 month old.

We guzzle our filtered tap water from Nalgene bottles (though I'm questioning the wisdom of using them constantly, and considering upgrading us to their newer BPA-free bottles).

We drink water from the tap.

On the very rare occasion that we are out and the only water available to us is in bottled form, I will grudgingly purchase one. We reuse that bottle till it is useless.

We use Nalgene water bottles here.
